I spend the night on my living room couch so that my horrible, constant coughing didn’t wake my husband or my kids. I swear I hacked up most of my lungs. When morning came, my voice was barely a whisper. This illness just wasn’t getting any easier or better. So, I had to call my doctor to get in the be seen. I had no trouble getting in quickly since they could barely hear me speaking on the other end if the line. I knew I needed antibiotics, and I knew I was going to get the big guns.
Yes, Zithromax. The antibiotics of the gods. Liquid gold to me in times like these. The moment I came home from the pharmacy I popped the first 2 pills and wheezed a sigh of relief.
In 2 to 5 days I should be human again. Fingers crossed.
Here’s to hoping that I finally get out of this miserable flu/bronchitis/sinus/respiratory infection!
Ok, I’m off to watch some tv and fall asleep on my new, temporary bed.
I realized this afternoon, that I was incredibly tired. This is not an uncommon side effect of my infusion, so I thought nothing if it and just kept on keeping on. Then like a light, I was out, sitting up in a chair. I fell asleep – like in a narcoleptic 3 seconds! When I woke up, I knew I was sick. I felt pain in every joint and muscle of my body, even my hair hurt! I felt freezing cold, was shivering, my throat was sore, and my eyes were burning. It was so sudden. Everything at once.
So now I’m wondering if I have the flu! Argh!!!! I’m miserable. Good thing I made chicken soup two days ago. It’s hopefully going to help ease this crud. If I am much worse tomorrow I will need to make a call to my doctor since I got my infusion yesterday and it can have immunosuppressant effects. Ugh!
I’m so incredibly tired and sleepy tonight. I started back on my Gilenya today and am wondering if it’s making me more sleepy.
I have been off of it for the past 10 days. I had developed a bad cough, and they weren’t sure if it was a side-effect of the Gilenya or a remnant cough from my illness. The cough finally went away over this past week, and now I am back on the med.
Hopefully, the cough stays away, else I will have to go off Gilenya permanently. Back at Christmas time I was off of it for 4 days because I was sick and then went back on until this latest break.
